Saturday - November 1, 2014

Homecoming Scholarship 5K Run
Kick-off to Homecoming Week!

9 a.m., Pace Alumni Center at Emerald Hill (751 N. Second St.)
5K Run registration $30 advance, $35 day of race / APSU Student (with valid ID) $15 advance, $20 day of race. Military (with valid ID) Preregistration $25 / Race Day $30. Open to the public, all ages. Fee includes t-shirt, goodie bag and refreshments. Chance to win door prizes and cash awards.

6-8 p.m., Morgan University Center Ballroom. $25 per person/ $40 per couple. Open to all. Portion of proceeds to benefit Military Scholarship Endowment. Friday - November 7, 2014

36th Annual Homecoming Golf Tournament
10 a.m., Swan Lake Golf Course, $60 per person.  Open to the public.  Sponsored by Budweiser of Clarksville.  Fee includes ditty bag, refreshments on the golf course and light lunch.  Frazier Allen (’99), chair. Contact Alumni Relations Office, (931) 221-7979 or 1-800-264-2586.

 

Soul Fest
11:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m., Browning Drive (located between the Morgan University Center and Browning)
Free and open to alumni and students. Sponsored by African American Alumni Chapter and WNDAACC.
Teams made up of 7 people or less will compete in a stroll off competition. Stroll off routine will have a 3-4 minute time limit and is open to non-Greek and Greek for both current students and alumni . Prizes include $25 in Chartwell’s Coupons, for each team member, for 1st place winners in the student non-Greek and Greek categories and Stepshow/Game tickets for the winners of the Alumni category.  First come, first serve basis. 48th Annual Alumni-Varsity Golf Match  
12:30 p.m. shotgun start, Clarksville Country Club

Fight Song Competition

Governors Own Alumni Band Rehearsal & Cookout
5:30-8 p.m., Governors Stadium. All former Governors Own Band Members are welcome! Rehearsals will take place at 5:30 p.m., followed by a cookout. The alumni band will be rehearsing the Fight Song along with other stands tunes. At 6 p.m., alumni will join current band members for a mix and mingle cookout to take place in the Choir Room (MMC Building). This is a free event for band alumni.
