Participant Guidelines
Students who are enrolled in one of the six public high schools in Montgomery
County are eligible to apply. At least two-thirds of the enrollees must qualify
as low-income students, (see the table below) and first-generation with neither
parent having graduated from a four-year college or university, while the
remaining one-third may be accepted if they meet one of these two major
criteria. Students must possess post-secondary academic potential.
Upward Bound requires multiple references
- School Counselor or classroom teacher of student's choice
- Language Arts teacher
- Math teacher
- Science teacher
