The APSU Alumni Association is here to keep you connected to Austin Peay State University for life. Our alumni are critical to the success of the university and to our students. We would like to communicate with you regularly and in meaningful ways to inform you of APSU news as well as opportunities to participate in an array of events and programs that enhance the growth of Austin Peay.
It is our goal to encourage and foster lifelong alumni participation, involvement, and commitment. Over the next several months and years it will be our goal to strengthen the bond between the University and our alumni; to create programs which match the interests and needs of the alumni; to maintain and build upon the positive relationships we have with our more seasoned alumni; to increase the participation, involvement, and communication with our younger alumni; and to continue to serve as the primary communications link between the University and it’s alumni.
APSU alumni now have the opportunity to sign up for their own personal university email account. With this email address, alumni will have access to AP OneStop. AP OneStop is your online source for all things Austin Peay. Check your e-mail, get updated on university news and alumni events, check out our campus web cams to see how the campus is progressing and much more.
To sign up for your personal email account, go to the “Email Request Form” link, located on the left hand side of the screen. You may then request an alumni email address.
Here on the APSU Alumni website, you can find out about upcoming alumni events, update your contact information, read the latest issue of “Austin Peay,” help recruit new students or make a donation.
We also invite you to check out Pace Alumni Center at Emerald Hill, the home of APSU’s National Alumni Association and the Office of Alumni Relations. This beautiful antebellum mansion is the perfect place to relax with old friends and learn more about Austin Peay’s alumni services.

APSU Alumnus, Dr. Robert “Bob” Patton (’57, ’59), will be on campus at the Pace Alumni Center at Emerald Hill for a book signing on Friday, Feb. 24, 2012. Join us from 11:30-1 p.m. Books will be available for purchase ($17.50 apiece) and refreshments will be provided.
Tennessee Political Fireworks is a collection of political stories by Robert D. “Bob” Patton. The stories are a result of Bob’s decades in local and state politics and preserve some of the history as well as human interest.
Included stories reveal how politics works, sometimes with a little “arm-twisting” to get the desired result. While some are humorous or thought provoking and philosophical, others will spark interest to almost anyone with a desire to learn more about the real world of politics.
Dr. Patton served as a County Commissioner, Election Official, State Representative, part-time employee for the Secretary of State and is still employed as a Sargent-at-Arms in the Tennessee House.

Austin Peay Football 80 Years: 1930-2010, tells the story of the APSU football program from its origin in 1930 to the present time. As you read the book, it is hoped you will gain a greater appreciation of APSU football and get a glimpse into the history of this program.
This is author Blakey Bradley’s (’64) third sports history book to be printed. His first book, The History of Athletics at “old” Clarksville High School from 1907-1969 and his second book, Govs in the “Little Red Barn”. A portion of the proceeds from the Book, Govs in the “Little Red Barn” was donated back to the men’s basketball program and a portion of his newest book on APSU football will be donated back to the football program. We thank Blakey for his tireless efforts in helping to raise funds for APSU athletics and for his continued support.
Fifty percent of the profit is being donated to the Austin Peay football program. For every 100 books sold, Governors football will receive $1000.
